MG Hector Blackstorm will create a stir!

MG Motor India has launched the MG Hector Blackstorm Edition range. Its starting prices start at Rs 21.25 lakh (ex-showroom), which is for the petrol-CVT variant and go up to Rs 22.76 lakh (ex-showroom), which is for the diesel-MT 6-seater variant. Interested customers can book the SUV online or by visiting their nearest dealership, with deliveries expected to begin soon.

The Hector Blackstorm is the third Blackstorm variant from the brand after the Gloster and Astor. This SUV will be available in 5, 6 and 7-seat configurations and is based on the second top variant Sharp Pro. Depending on the variant, the Hector Blackstorm costs Rs 25,000 more.

MG Hector Blackstorm Design

In terms of design, the Hector Blackstorm Edition gets a starry-black exterior paint job accentuated by a gun-metal finished front grille with red accents all around. It also gets black headlamp bezels with dark chrome grille, smoked taillights, blacked-out 18-inch alloy wheels with red brake callipers and black ORVMs with red highlights. Interested customers can also opt for the ‘Blackstorm’ logo on the front fender at no extra charge at the dealership.

Moving inside, the Hector Blackstorm gets the same dashboard layout, but here it gets an all-black layout with gunmetal accents on the center console, AC vents, door trims and steering wheel. The seats also get black leatherette upholstery, with ‘Blackstorm’ engraved on the front headrests.

MG Hector Blackstorm Features

In terms of features, it has a large 14.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, connected car technology, 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster, 360-degree camera, ventilated seats, automatic climate control, powered driver seat, panoramic Sunroof, six airbags, stability control, traction control and a suite of Advanced Driver-Assistance System (ADAS) will be available.

MG Hector Blackstorm Engine

Hector Blackstorm is offered with two engine options – 143hp, 250Nm 1.5-litre turbo petrol and 170hp, 350Nm Fiat sourced 2.0-litre multi-jet turbocharged diesel engine. The petrol engine can only be had with a CVT transmission and the diesel also gets only a 6-speed manual.
