MG Comet EV Launched : MG Motor India has revealed the full price list of the much-awaited Comet EV. The prices of the all-new MG Comet EV range from Rs 7.98 lakh to Rs 9.98 lakh, ex-showroom. At this price, it is said to be the cheapest electric car in India and is Rs 2 lakh less than the top-spec Tata Tiago EV. Let us know what are the variant-wise prices of MG Comet EV?
Variant-Wise Prices
The new MG Comet EV has been introduced in three variants Pace, Play and Plush. Its price ranges from Rs 7.98 lakh to Rs 9.98 lakh ex-showroom. It is important to note that these are introductory prices and are valid for the first 5,000 buyers only. Its booking will start from May 15 and the delivery will start from May 22, 2023.
Battery, Range and Performance
The MG Comet EV gets a 17.3 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. It is being claimed that it gives a driving range of 230 km on a single charge. It gets a single electric motor, which churns out 42 bhp and 110 Nm of peak torque. MG claims that the Comet EV can be fully charged in 7 hours with a regular AC charger and it does not support DC fast charging.
Features of MG Comet EV
Talking about features and specifications, the MG Comet sports twin screens, one for the infotainment system and the other for the instrumentation. It gets wireless Android Auto and Apple Car Play, OTA updates, three drive modes (Eco, Normal and Sport) and full keyless go. Safety equipment includes dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, reverse parking sensors with rear parking camera, TPMS etc.
