MG Comet EV: MG Motors has today released the teaser of its upcoming Comet EV. In this teaser, you have also been shown the design of steering mounted controls and steering wheel. In these controls, you will get to see the old iPod-like design. For information, let us tell you that this electric car is going to compete with Tata Tiago in the Indian market. This car has been prepared by the company for small families to switch to electric powertrain. In the released teaser, the controls on the left side of the steering wheel seem to be used to navigate through the display screen in the infotainment while the controls on the right side are for music controls and voice commands.

EV comes with powerful battery and great range

The MG Comet EV could be the cheapest electric car in the Indian market post its launch, a tag currently held by the Tata Tiago EV. But, some other things also matter in this. If the reports are to be believed then many more tremendous and modern features are going to be given in this car. In this car, you can be given a 17.3kWh battery pack and it is expected that this car can also give a range of up to 250 kilometers in a single charge. The car gets two driving modes namely – Normal and Sports. You can drive this electric car at a top speed of 100 kilometers per hour. This electric car has a two-door design and weighs 815 kg. You can use this car for daily use. If the reports are to be believed then its price will be very affordable and it is expected that many modern features are also going to be available in it.

Steering wheel will be very special

If you look at the steering wheel of the MG Comet EV, it might remind you a lot of the Apple iPod that was launched in the early 2000s. The steering comes with a two-spoke design and the controls are placed on either side. In this teaser you can see that- this car seems to be equipped with a large free-standing digital display which connects to the infotainment system as well as the instrument cluster.
