Metro will come out of the tunnel through ramps at two places in Patna, process of laying track started in ISBT depot

Of the 26 stations to be built on both the corridors of Patna Metro, 13 will be elevated and 13 will be underground. But there will be two such places between these stations, where the metro will exit or enter the tunnel through the ramp. Of these, one ramp will be built for Corridor One (Danapur to Mithapur) near Aryabhatta Knowledge University (AKU), while the other on Corridor Two (Patna station to ISBT) will be built near Doctors Colony in Kankarbagh. Metro of Corridor 2 will be elevated from Rajendra Nagar underground station exiting near Doctors Colony via Malahi Pakdi to New ISBT, whereas in Corridor 1, exiting from Patna Junction underground station near AKU, it will be elevated to Khemnichak via Mithapur.

According to the engineers, the metro will enter the underground station from the elevated route at 35 degrees. At the same time, exiting the metro underground station at an angle of 125 degrees, it will leave on the elevated route. Construction of proper slope and protection from unauthorized entry is a big challenge in ramp construction. Necessary equipment and security measures will be arranged for this.

According to Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), which is building Patna Metro, work is going on on both elevated and underground routes of Patna Metro. Corridor 1 from Danapur to Khemnichak will have 14 stations, of which six metro stations will be made underground. At the same time, there will be a total of 12 stations in Corridor-II from Patna station to New ISBT, of which seven metro stations will be underground. Five elevated stations from Malahi Pakdi to New ISBT are part of the Priority Corridor, of which more than 42 percent work has been completed. At the same time, the work of digging the metro tunnel from Rajendranagar to Patna University is going on.

There will be two interchange stations

Patna station and Khemnichak metro station will be interchanged. That is, the metro can be caught from here for both the routes. The metro station to be built near Patna station will be a three-storey underground station. The platform of Corridor-1 to be built from Danapur to Bypass will be at the bottom. Just above this there will be a platform of Corridor-2, on which the metro going to New ISBT will come. The Khemnichak metro station will be elevated. This station will be two storey.

The process of laying track started in ISBT depot

The work of Patna Metro depot to be built near New ISBT is going on fast. After solving the problem of land acquisition, the work of its boundary and other infrastructure is still going on. Patna Metro Rail Corporation has invited tender for laying track in the depot. Tender will be opened on July 21 regarding the selection of agency for supply, laying and trial of standard gauge track for the new ISBT depot.
