Meta Small Business Academy: Technology company Meta has said that it has entered into a partnership with the Confederation of All India Traders (CAT). Under this, in the next three years, 10 lakh traders will be trained to use the WhatsApp Business app. This initiative will help the merchants to reach more customers and grow their business.

Meta, which owns WhatsApp, Instagram including Facebook, also announced the launch of a new program ‘Meta Small Business Academy’ to teach digital marketing skills to budding entrepreneurs. The company said, the training of Meta Small Business Academy will especially help new entrepreneurs to acquire important digital marketing skills. CAIT Secretary General Praveen Khandelwal said that businesses of all sizes use WhatsApp to connect with their customers and hence there is an urgent need for this training.
Syllabus and examination in seven languages
Meta Small Business Academy’s training will specifically help budding entrepreneurs acquire critical digital marketing skills. According to a PTI-language report, to make the program accessible to small and medium entrepreneurs across India, its syllabus and exam have been made available in seven languages - English, Hindi, Marathi, Bengali, Kannada, Tamil and Telugu.
