Social Media Compliance Report: Meta-owned social media platform Facebook has processed about 45 percent of user complaints in March 2023. At the same time, Meta Instagram has taken action on 64 percent of the complaints during this period. This information has been received from the company’s monthly report for India.

Category based information is disclosed by meta. According to this, Facebook took action on about eight percent of complaints by users in cases like ‘their account has been hacked’. Apart from this, 22 percent of the cases were of ‘inappropriate or abusive content’ and 23 percent of ‘bullying or harassment’.

The social media platform took action on less than a quarter of complaints in cases where users reported nudity or partial nudity. Facebook received a total of 7,193 complaints from users and helped users resolve their issues in 1,903 cases.

Of the other 5,290 reports where expert review was required, we reviewed the content in accordance with our policies and took action on a total of 1,300 reports, Meta said in the report to Facebook.
