A state in Eastern India: In a village under Veerpur police station area of Begusarai, a case of sexually abusing a 14-year-old mentally challenged girl has come to light for the last several months. The relatives came to know about this when the victim started remaining ill for a few days. The relatives then took the victim to a private hospital for treatment, and during the medical examination, it was found that a seven-month-old baby was growing in her womb. After getting information about this, the family members got shocked and started questioning their daughter in this regard, only then the said minor girl told her past incident.
Used to work as a mason at home
In this regard, on April 14, the victim’s father has filed an application at the Women’s Police Station Begusarai, pleading for justice. It has been told in the application that Puneet Paswan, 45-year-old son of late Fuchar Paswan, resident of Maidabhangama, had been secretly raping me in my deserted house for many days. Due to our minor girl being mentally weak, he used to take advantage of this and rape her by seducing her. He also told that I had got a house under the PM Awas Yojana and the said accused used to work as a mason in the house. Seeing the deserted house, he carried out such an incident.
Police returned after questioning
After complaining in the women’s police station, one day the police there and the police of the local police station reached the spot and returned after enquiry. Since then it has not come even once. The complaint was also made to the local headman and sarpanch about this matter, so they did not take any hearing on this matter. Here, after such an incident, people are discussing different things. In this regard, on asking the woman station in-charge Avanti Kumari, she said that on the basis of the application of the victim’s father, an FIR was registered in the police station under 11/23.
