More than two dozen opposition parties have formed ‘INDIA’ to counter the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the next Lok Sabha.

In the recent meeting of the leaders of the constituent parties of ‘INDIA’ in Mumbai, a 14-member coordination committee was formed to outline the future programs of the alliance. Another member of this committee, Trinamool Congress (TMC) General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee is not likely to attend this meeting, because the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has issued summons to him and called him for questioning on September 13.
