A young man was murdered by slitting his throat with a sharp weapon in Lohia Nagar police station area of Meerut. After this the body was hanged. The young man had returned after offering Namaz this morning. After this, when other family members woke up in the morning, they called the young man to drink tea. When no response was received for a long time, the family members peeked into the room and found his body hanging. Seeing the dead body of the young man, the family members started screaming. The incident spread sensation in the area. This incident was immediately informed to the police. Police reached the spot and started investigation.
The dead body was found in a room with a power loom machine.
Actually, a power loom machine is installed in the front part of the house of Shahzad (26), resident of Ashiana Colony street number-18 of Lohia Nagar police station area. Whereas the whole family lives towards the back of the house. People were inside the house at the time of the incident. The body of deceased Shahzad was found in the room where the power loom machine was installed. Kotwali CO Amit Rai has said that on the basis of preliminary investigation, there is a possibility of murder and hanging. At present, the postmortem report is awaited.
During police interrogation, the mother of the deceased told that like every day, at 6 am on Sunday, Shahzad had gone from home to the mosque to offer namaz. Came back and then went to his room. He did not come out of the room even till 8 o’clock. We got busy with other household chores. When he went into the room to call him for tea, the door was locked from inside. When I looked through the window, he was found hanging. Then we made noise and called the neighbours. Police reached the spot after the neighbors. The police removed the body from the fan. Saw that the neck of the dead body was cut. It looks like someone has cut the neck with a sharp weapon. After this the body is hung.
Deceased Shahzad was married four years ago
Shahzad’s father has died. He lives with his mother, younger sister Gulshan and younger brother Akram. The family members told that Shahzad got married only 4 years ago. Shahzad along with his wife and children, the entire family lives in this house. At the same time, the forensic team has also reached the spot and is taking samples. The family members are calling the entire incident a murder. He says that someone has slit his son’s throat and hanged him.
