Vinay Verma, the criminal who shot the outpost in-charge during the recovery of the pistol, opened fire on the police. In retaliatory firing, criminal Vinay Verma was shot twice, due to which he died. The other accomplice, Naresh Sagar, resident of Madhavapuram, has been arrested. Raids are being conducted to arrest the third absconding criminal, Anuj, resident of Sainik Vihar. SP City Ayush Vikram Singh said that on the night of 23 January, the miscreants who were fleeing after robbing a Centro car from outside the marriage hall in Kankarkheda had encountered the police. When a criminal was caught, his associates shot Kankarkheda highway outpost in-charge Munnesh Singh in the chest. The police was busy searching for the miscreants. The names of Vinay Verma, resident of Jassu Mohalla of Kankarkheda, Naresh Sagar, resident of Madhavpuram Sector 3 and Anuj, resident of Sainik Vihar came to light in carrying out the incident. Both criminals Vinay and Naresh were planning to escape to Agra by bus on Saturday. But on the information of the informer, the police arrested both of them from Khirwa of Kankarkheda.

In the evening, the police had gone to the forest of Dayampur with Vinay to recover the pistol. Vinay Verma suddenly picked up the pistol hidden in the bush and fired four bullets at the police. One bullet touched the shoulder of constable Sumit. Vinay Verma was hit twice in the retaliatory firing by the police. The police first admitted him to the hospital and then to the Higher Centre, where he was declared dead. SSP Rohit Singh Sajwan told that the police had gone to the forest to recover the pistol from the criminal Vinay. He fired from the pistol hidden in the bushes. The miscreant was killed in retaliatory firing. The second miscreant has been arrested. The third criminal who is absconding will also be arrested soon.

In fact, on the night of 23 January, three miscreants together looted a Centro car outside the HR Mandap located in Kankarkheda police station area. The miscreants forced Sonu, the driver of the centre, out of the car at gunpoint, stole the car and started running away. There was a GPS installed in the car. The miscreants removed the Delhi number plate of the car at Lisadi Gate and put a fake number plate of Meerut number. Kept roaming around with the car. But the police caught the miscreants. A criminal was caught by the police. To free him, the other two miscreants started fighting and opened fire on the police. The bullet hit outpost incharge Munnesh Kumar Singh in the chest and passed through it. The miscreants ran away but left the car. The outpost in-charge was first treated in Meerut and then in Max, the operation was done, now he is fine. Police identified three miscreants Vinay, Anuj and Naresh Sagar in the incident from CCTV, three teams were deployed to search for them. On Saturday, the police got information from the informer that Vinay and Naresh Sagar were running away from Agra by bus. Both are wanted in Centro car theft case. On information, the police reached Kankarkheda and caught both the miscreants and brought them to Kankarkheda police station, where they were interrogated. During interrogation, both of them confessed to shooting the outpost in-charge. Told that he had fired the shot with a 32 bore semi-auto pistol.

After shooting, the pistol was hidden in the fields in Jangethi area of Kankarkheda. On the spot of the miscreants, the police took the pistol to Jangethi to recover it. Where the miscreant told the police that the pistol was buried in the sugarcane field. The police took the miscreant to the sugarcane field. The scoundrel Vinay showed that pistol. Suddenly Vinay picked up the pistol and started running. When the police ran after him, he opened fire on the police. During the firing, the bullet hit constable Sumit Chaprana’s arm. Due to which the soldier fell on the spot and got injured. Police also called SOG, Crime and Surveillance team on the spot. In the firing by the police, Vinay was hit by one bullet in his chest and the other in his head. The criminal fell dead as soon as he was shot. However, the police took him to Kailashi Hospital, Meerut for treatment. From where he was medically referred. The doctors declared him dead in the medical examination. Let us tell you that Vinay’s other associate Naresh is being interrogated by the police. Raids are being conducted to search for the third criminal, Anuj. Injured constable Sumit has been admitted to the hospital for treatment. There was a reward of Rs 25-25 thousand on the deceased Vinay and Anuj. There are 6 cases registered against deceased Vinay. This includes crimes of murder, robbery, gangster act and theft.
