Those fake officers were arrested by the STF and the police. Some time back, two such cases had also come up in Prem Nagar area of ​​Dehradun. Where money was also taken from many youths to recruit Agniveer.

The accused is a resident of Haryana

Station in-charge Lalkurti Naresh Kumar told that the name of the arrested accused is Ganesh Bhatt, a resident of Abdullapur Pinjor Machhi Wali Gali Panchkula Haryana. However, the accused used to tell people his name as Major Dinesh Dahiya. The accused Agniveer used to cheat the youth by taking them on the pretext of getting jobs in the recruitment. A victim of fraud had complained against the accused in the Lalkurti police station. Army Intelligence was contacted to investigate the matter. After investigation, it was found that no Major of this name is posted in any unit. Along with Army Intelligence, the accused was being monitored. On Wednesday evening, information was received about his arrival in the Cantt area. After this he was arrested near the Mall Road Supply Depot. Station in-charge Lalkurti further said that a case has been registered against the fake major under sections 420 and 140 of the IPC.

Agniveer recruitment exam is going on in Meerut

Police told that some youths from Army Intelligence had complained about a person named Ganesh. His allegation was that Ganesh cheats by becoming a Major. There are 3-4 members in his gang who collect four to five lakh rupees from the youth in the name of Agniveer recruitment. By these people, Ganesha was introduced to the youths who wanted to become Agniveer in army uniform. On this information, Army Intelligence laid siege to Ganesh’s arrest and caught Ganesh on Wednesday night when he was roaming in the army area wearing Major’s uniform. The accused has accepted his crime during interrogation. On the other hand, police officials say that it is also being seen whether Ganesh Bhatt has any connection with any terrorist activity. SSP Rohit Singh Sajwan told that a fake officer of Major rank has been arrested. Lalkurti police have been instructed to register a case and take strict action.
