Mathura Holi 2024: Braj Rangotsav in Mathura will start from Barsana’s Laddu Holi on March 17, the event will continue till April 1.

Lucknow: Braj Rangotsav 2024 (Mathura Holi 2024) will start from March 17 with Laddus Holi in Barsana, Mathura. The next day on March 18, the world famous Lathmar will be held. Lathmar Holi is also organized in Nandgaon and Rawal villages on 19 March. On March 20, Rangbharni Ekadashi will be organized at Mathura Shri Krishna birthplace, Dwarkadhish temple and Bankebihari temple, Vrindavan. Uttar Pradesh Braj Teerth Vikas Parishad is organizing Rangotsav-2024. Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh gave this information in a press conference organized in Tourism.

Chhadimar Holi on 21st March
Tourism Minister Jaiveer Singh said that Mathura is world famous as the birthplace of Lord Krishna.
Holi (Mathura Holi 2024) is famous all over the world. The events will start here from March 17 and will continue till April 1. This includes Chhadimar Holi Gokul on 21 March, Dola Mathura of Chaturvedi Samaj on 24 March, Holika Dahan of Phalain village, Dhulendi in Mathura on 25 March, Huranga Baldev of Dauji on 26 March, Huranga of Jab, Charkula Mukhrai, Bathin village on 27 March. Holi will be organized at Gidoh’s Huranga, Chhadimar Mahavan on 31st March and Shri Rang Ji Temple Vrindavan on 1st April.

Last year 8 crore tourists reached Mathura
The Tourism Minister said that about eight crore people visited Mathura in the year 2023. This year too, cooperation of various departments is being taken to organize Rangotsav in a grand and traditional manner. There are many symbols of the pastimes of Lord Shri Krishna and Radha ji scattered on the land of Mathura. Lakhs of tourists and devotees come here to see the Rangotsav closely and connect with it. In this, the exploits of Shri Krishna are praised, while the feeling of love, harmony and brotherhood is strengthened in the rural areas. The state government is continuously developing the holy places like Mathura, Gokul, Vrindavan, Barsana, Nand Gaon etc. for the devotees and tourists.

Heliport service started, preparations for cruise
Minister Jaiveer Singh said that on the occasion of the birthday of former Prime Minister of India and Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee, heliport service has been started in Agra Mathura. Apart from this, cruise operations will be conducted on Yamuna from Gokul to Vrindavan. For this, clearance is being taken from the Waterway Authority. Principal Secretary Tourism and Culture Mukesh Kumar Meshram was also present in the press conference.
