Two devotees who had come to Mathura Vrindavan for darshan on Radha Ashtami died of suffocation on Saturday morning. This accident happened during the consecration and worship in Ladli ji’s temple. Actually, a bus of devotees from Allahabad had come to Mathura Vrindavan for pilgrimage. In which 60-year-old Rajrani, resident of Tobacco Lane of Peerganj, Allahabad, had come with her family. Family members told at the health center that he was suffering from diabetes. When Rajrani’s health deteriorated on Saturday morning, where they were staying in Barsana, they brought her out of Dharamshala to the market to feed her chips. His health worsened while eating chips there. The family members told that with great difficulty they found a rickshaw to take Rajrani to the hospital. The crowd was so huge that it took a long time to reach the hospital and the doctors declared him dead.

Apart from this, an unknown person was found lying near the bus stand. He was taken to the health center, where doctors declared him dead. The deceased could not be identified. On information, co-nodal officer Dr. Bhudev Singh also reached the hospital. Doctors have expressed the possibility that the health may have worsened due to increase or decrease in sugar. CMO Dr. AK Verma said that two people have died. Nodal officer ACMO Dr. Ashok Kumar said that both of them were brought dead.

Devotees have started coming at night on Radhashtami

Radhashtami is being celebrated with great enthusiasm and pomp today on 23rd September. The arrival of devotees from all over the country in Mathura-Vrindavan had started from 22nd September itself. On the morning of 23rd September i.e. Saturday, around 4 o’clock, Radhaji was being consecrated along with her birth. People were arriving for darshan and worship of Ladli ji. More crowd had reached here than expected. With the presence of about 2 lakh devotees, suddenly there was noise among the crowd of devotees. It was reported that some people were suffocated. Two devotees including one woman became unconscious. After this, administrative officials including Mathura SSP Shailesh Pandey reached the spot.

Administration failed once again

The administration did not learn a lesson from the accident at Banke Bihari Temple in Vrindavan on Krishna Janmashtami last year. Last year, similar negligence was done on Krishna Janmashtami also. In which two devotees were suffocated inside the Banke Bihari premises. After the accident on Radhashtami, people have alleged that the police tried to control the people by placing ropes, but this increased the pressure of people at some spots. This is why this accident happened. At the same time, the administration is saying that the death occurred due to illness.
