‘Match fixing from Delhi to Maharashtra’, Sanjay Raut’s big statement before Speaker’s decision on rebel MLAs

Maharashtra News: The Speaker of Maharashtra Assembly is going to pronounce the verdict in the disqualification case against Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and all the rebel MLAs of his group today i.e. on Wednesday. Before the Speaker’s decision, a big statement from Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut has come out. Sanjay Raut said that state CM Eknath Shinde is in power illegally. In his statement, Raut said that match fixing is taking place in this matter from Delhi to here.

Violation of the Constitution- Prithviraj Chavan

At the same time, before the Speaker’s decision on the disqualification case of Shiv Sena MLAs, senior Congress leader Prithviraj Chavan said that the Speaker should have taken a decision on this matter earlier. He said that the government in the state is running illegally. Chavan also said that the 10th Schedule of the Constitution has been violated by 16 MLAs of the Eknath Shinde-led government of the state.

It is noteworthy that in June 2022, Eknath Shinde and many other MLAs had rebelled against the then Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. After this rebellion, there was a split in Shiv Sena and the Maha Vikas Aghadi government fell. After this, petitions were filed by Shinde and Thackeray factions demanding action against each other’s MLAs under anti-defection laws.
