The police has got a big success in the case of robbery of a gold jewelery shop worth Rs 1 crore which took place in broad daylight on December 21 at Ratna Mandir Jewelers in Mirganj, Begusarai. Police have exposed this robbery and arrested six youths. More than one lakh rupees, weapons, bike and ganja have also been recovered from these people. The special team of police got this success during raids at different places. The robbers caught by the police include Krishna alias Vivek, resident of Samastipur district, Lal Babu Chaudhary, Randhir Singh and Chhotu Sah of Samastipur district. The mastermind of this robbery is said to be Ravindra Sahni of Samastipur, who is currently absconding.

Employee was shot during robbery

Disclosing this matter, SP Yogendra Kumar said that on December 21, miscreants had carried out the incident of robbery in broad daylight at Ratna Mandir Jewellers, located between GD College and Har-Har Mahadev Chowk of the city. The miscreants who came posing as customers started looking at them on the pretext of buying jewelery and then suddenly pulled out their pistol. After this they started looting, but then a staff of the shop sounded the siren and hearing the sound of the siren, when the people around started gathering, the miscreants shot Manish Kumar, an employee of the shop, in the stomach and fled on the motorcycle waving the weapon. They went.

Six special teams were formed for investigation

The SP said that taking the robbery incident seriously, six different special teams were formed under the leadership of the DSP to investigate the matter. This team was continuously raiding various places. Inputs were also being taken from jail. Meanwhile, information was received in this matter from sources, after which action was taken and everyone was arrested.

First three people arrested in the raid

The SP said that after the robbery, three accused had gone out of the state, but all of them returned from outside. When the police raids continued in this case, Krishna alias Vivek, resident of Muzaffarpur district, Lal Babu Chaudhary of Teyaya assistant police station area and Chhotu Sah of Samastipur district were arrested from Vishnupur of Nagar police station area. About Rs 1,03,000 in cash, ganja and weapons were recovered from these people.

Three more arrests at the behest of the arrested accused

On the basis of input received from the arrested accused, gold and silver shopkeeper Santosh Sah of Samastipur, Kanhaiya Kumar and Randhir Kumar of Samastipur were arrested. A total of two loaded pistols, seven bullets, two mobile phones used in the robbery, one of three motorcycles and cash have been recovered from them.

An inter-district robbery gang was involved in the gold jewelery shop robbery. SP told that the mastermind of the incident is Ravindra Sahni of Samastipur who was released from jail only 6-7 months ago. He too had reached Ratan Mandir Jewelers on a motorcycle with Santosh Sah on the day of the robbery. After the robbery, all the criminals ran away on different routes and then gathered at one place and gave the looted jewelery to Ravindra Sahni, in return he immediately gave Rs 1.5 lakh. Out of which 1,03,000 have been recovered so far.

The mastermind of the robbery used to come from Mumbai

SP told that Krishna alias Vivek, resident of Muzaffarpur district, lived in Mumbai. Whenever a crime or robbery had to be committed, he would come here by flight. A year ago, he had also looted Heera Jewelers in Samastipur. First of all, he took out his pistol and captured the employees of Ratna Mandir Jewellers. The special team is continuously conducting raids to arrest mastermind Ravindra Sahni and two other robbers.
