Maruti Car Sales: Maruti sales marginally decline in March, record 19.66 lakh vehicles sold in the financial year

Maruti Car Sales: The country’s largest vehicle maker Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) reported a marginal drop in total sales in March at 1,70,071 units as against 1,70,395 units sold in the year-ago period.

Releasing the sales figures, MSI said that in the domestic market, it supplied 1,39,952 vehicles to dealers, which is three percent less than 1,43,899 vehicles in March 2022.

However, last month the company’s exports grew by 14 per cent to 30,119 units as against 26,496 units in the year-ago period. In the entire financial year (2022-23), Maruti’s wholesale sales totaled 19,66,164 vehicles, which is a record performance so far.

In the financial year 2021-22, the company had a total sale of 16,52,653 vehicles. In the ended financial year, the company’s domestic sales stood at 17,06,831 units while in the year 2021-22 it was 14,14,277 units. During this period its exports also increased from 2,38,376 units to 2,59,333 units.
