Late on Friday night, state Chief Minister Eknath Shinde had sent a draft ordinance to activist Manoj Jarange, who was agitating for Maratha reservation, regarding his various demands. A statement from the Chief Minister’s Office on the matter said that Eknath Shinde held meetings with officials to discuss the demands and later sent a delegation with the draft ordinance to meet the workers.

Thousands of supporters, led by activist Manoj Jarange, are camping in neighboring Navi Mumbai. At the same time, this delegation includes Social Justice Department Secretary Sumant Bhange, Aurangabad Divisional Commissioner Madhukar Arangal, Chief Minister’s Private Secretary Amol Shinde and others. Manoj Jarange had announced earlier in the day that if the government did not fulfill his demands by tonight, he would start marching towards Mumbai on Saturday and sit on a hunger strike.

At the same time, after this step of the government, leader Manoj Jarange announced the end of the Maratha movement and said that the government is ready to talk to us. After this announcement, all the workers jumped with joy and started dancing. It is known that Manoj Jarange Patil will end his agitation in the presence of CM Shinde on Saturday. He himself has given this information. He said, “Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has done a good job. Our protest is over now. Our request has been accepted. We will accept his letter.”
