Many proposals passed in Agra Municipal Corporation House, Mayor will get a new car worth 30 lakhs

In the meeting held in the Municipal Corporation of Agra, the issue of door to door cleanliness system and street lights of the city was heated up. Councilors said that the system of door to door cleaning in the city is not proper. All the roads of the city are closed. Councilors also expressed their opposition regarding street lights. Besides, a proposal to buy a new car worth about Rs 30 lakh to arrange a new vehicle for Agra Mayor Hemlata Diwakar was also passed in the House.

Many important proposals were discussed in the Municipal Corporation House on Monday and they were passed unanimously. During this, the councilors also expressed their protest against the shortcomings in the city’s street light system and door to door garbage collection system. The Mayor has given 15 days time to the EESL company which is looking after the arrangement of street lights. If the street lights are not repaired within 15 days, the company’s contract will be cancelled.

Innova car has broken down

After the 5 year old 2018 model Innova car broke down in the Municipal Corporation House, the Mayor returned it to the Municipal Corporation. When there was an uproar in the matter, a proposal was passed in the Municipal Corporation House to buy a new car worth Rs 30 lakh for the Mayor.

Councilors in the House approved a 5-fold increase in building construction fees. Whereas the proposal of charging a fee of circle rate for mutation was rejected. This proposal was accepted by the executive. But the House unanimously rejected it.

Councilor Ravi Mathur presented a proposal in the House not to have door to door garbage collection. In which the councilors said that vehicles are taking garbage only from the main roads. If handcarts are not taken to the streets then how will the garbage be collected? Councilors Mangal Singh, Santosh, Anurag Chaturvedi, Bunty Mahour, Sohail Qureshi, Kaptan Singh etc. also opened a front against the administration of the corporation. Hemant Prajapati expressed his displeasure when no representative of the company was present in the House.

The issue of fine being imposed on stray animals in the city was also discussed in the House. In which a fine of Rs 8000 was fixed for catching a buffalo, Rs 2000 for catching a cow and Rs 500 for catching a horse.
