Manish Sisodia Bail: After Satyendar Jain, Manish Sisodia, former deputy CM of Delhi Government, got relief from the Delhi High Court. In the money laundering case related to Delhi’s excise policy, the High Court gave relief to Aam Aadmi Party leader Manish Sisodia today i.e. on Friday. The court has asked to grant bail to Sisodia tomorrow i.e. Saturday (June 3) from 10 am to 5 pm. During this, he can meet his ailing wife. At the same time, the court has reserved its decision on his interim bail.
The court gave the verdict
Delhi High Court Justice Dinesh Kumar Sharma on Friday directed the Tihar Jail Superintendent to take Aam Aadmi Party leader Sisodia to his residence, where he would be allowed to meet his wife from 10 am to 5 pm. The High Court directed Sosidiya that during this period Sisodia would not talk to anyone other than his family members or the media. During this, they will not even have the facility of phone or internet.
Court reserved order
The High Court has reserved its verdict on Sisodia’s pleas for regular bail and interim bail in the money laundering case lodged by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). Sisodia has sought interim bail on the ground of deteriorating health of his wife, who is suffering from multiple sclerosis. At the same time, the High Court has also directed the ED to investigate the medical documents of Sisodia’s wife. The court has also asked the ED to file its report by Saturday evening.
ED gave this argument
Arguing on behalf of the ED in the court, Additional Solicitor General SV Raju said that Sisodia had filed an interim bail petition earlier also on the same grounds. Which was later withdrawn. Therefore, there is no ground for seeking a report from the agency. He said that Sisodia’s wife has been suffering from this disease for the last 23 years and the AAP leader had 18 portfolios, so he was a very busy minister and had no time for his home. Can be done through and the court can allow Sisodia to go with an escort and meet his wife.
