We have only one demand from Prime Minister Narendra Modi that he will have to answer on Manipur violence. A part of the country which is located in our border area, where violence is going on for the last 80-90 days, then why can the Prime Minister remain silent. The country’s central minister’s house was burnt, the state’s woman minister’s house was burnt. Small children, old people are being killed. Atrocities are happening with women. Two women were paraded naked. There is a woman in it, whose husband fought for the country in the Kargil War. His statement has come out that he saved the country, but could not save the shame of his wife. Such a statement of a jawan is going to embarrass the whole country. MP Sanjay Singh said, today we need to stand with the Kargil warrior, there is a need to stand with the women of Manipur. That’s why we are continuously demonstrating and demanding the Prime Minister to come to the Parliament and give a statement on the Manipur issue. Sanjay Singh, who has been suspended for the remaining period of the monsoon session, said that his strike will continue.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh spoke to Kharge in an effort to end the deadlock

14 more people identified in Manipur viral video case
Manipur Police has identified 14 more people in connection with the sexual harassment video of two women and has started the process of arresting them. The police have already arrested six people in connection with the viral video of the incident which took place in Kangpokpi district on May 4. Police said that they have identified 14 other people and the process of arresting them has been started. Both these women were allegedly sexually assaulted and a 26-second video of the incident surfaced on 19 July. One of the women seen in the video is the wife of an ex-army man who served as a Subedar in the Assam Regiment and fought in the Kargil War. A complaint was lodged on June 21 in connection with this incident at Saikul police station in Kangpokpi district.
Union Minister RK Ranjan Singh’s residence again attacked
A women’s rally outside Union Minister RK Ranjan Singh’s residence here turned violent after protesters pelted stones at it. The protesters were demanding the minister to make a statement in Parliament on the situation in the caste violence-hit state. This is the second attack on the residence of Union Minister of State for External Affairs Singh in two months. Meanwhile, students of Manipur University took out a rally during the day demanding restoration of peace in the state. Police fired tear gas shells to disperse them as the youths were passing through an area in which they were not allowed to hold the rally. These incidents happened a few days after a video surfaced of an incident in Kangpokpi district on May 4. In the video, two women can be seen being paraded naked by the mob. After the video surfaced, anger spread across the country. When the minister’s residence was attacked, no one was present there and the house did not suffer much damage.
