Lulu Group will build a world class shopping mall in Newtown, Kolkata.
After the meeting, the Chief Minister shared information regarding the meeting on his X (formerly Twitter) handle and said that various issues for the development of Bengal were discussed in Friday’s meeting. He told that Lulu Group will build a world class shopping mall in Newtown, Kolkata. Along with this, separate counters for West Bengal Government’s brand “Vishwabangla” will also be opened in all the shopping malls of Lulu Group in all the countries of the world. Only ”Vishwabangla” products will be sold there.
Company shows interest in skill development projects in Bengal
The Chief Minister said that Lulu Group gets all the fruits and vegetables required for its marketing from West Bengal. The company has expressed willingness to open food processing centers in Bengal as well as invest in fish and meat processing, poultry, dairy industries. The company has also shown interest in skill development projects in Bengal. The Chief Minister further said that he has invited representatives of Lulu Group to participate in the Bengal Global Business Summit to be held in the month of November.
