Ultimatum till February 1 to repay the dues
Mamta Banerjee said, “I have given an ultimatum till February 1 to clear all the dues.” If this does not happen then I will sit on strike from February 2. If the dues are not paid then I know how it can be achieved through agitation. She said, “I urge all party leaders and workers to participate in the protest.” I want everyone’s support.
State owes Rs 7,000 crore under schemes
The Chief Minister claimed that the state owed Rs 7,000 crore under several schemes run by the central government, including the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MNREGA) and the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana (PMGAY).
Abhishek Banerjee leaves for Delhi to attend the budget session
On one hand, while Mamata is announcing a protest in Kolkata, shortly before that, Trinamool MP Abhishek Banerjee has left for Delhi to attend the budget session. Due to Lok Sabha elections being looming, the full budget will not be presented this time. The official start of the session started on Wednesday. This will continue for the next 10 days.
