Makar Sankranti 2024: Gorakhpur Municipal Corporation will make temporary parking at 14 places, preparations will be completed by December 25

For the convenience of the people during the Makar Sankranti fair in Gorakhpur, the Municipal Corporation will create temporary parking at 14 places in the area around the Gorakhnath Temple. So that the devotees coming to Gorakhnath temple on Makar Sankranti do not face any problem. Because on Makar Sankranti, lakhs of devotees come to offer Khichdi to Guru Gorakhnath. Chief Engineer Sanjay Chauhan has directed to prepare all the parking by December 25. Along with constructing temporary parking, the Municipal Corporation will also level the land along with barricading at those sites.

Parking will be built at these places

  • Parking place for bus and tractor will be at Bhagwati Mahila Mahavidyalaya campus Tarang crossing.

  • Parking for two and four wheelers will be made at RPF Ground before climbing Gorakhnath Over Bridge and Lal Bahadur Shastri Junior High School will be made under Gorakhnath Bridge.

  • Two-wheeler and four-wheeler vehicles of administration and police will be parked in front of Ramlila Maidan, Mansarovar and Mewa Lal Gurukul School, Gorakhnath Hospital.

  • Four wheelers will be parked near Shantivaram Lane Green City MP Polytechnic.

  • Two wheelers will be parked on the vacant land on the northern side of Gorakhnath Bridge.

  • Two wheeler and four wheeler vehicles will be parked in front of Leprosy Ashram MP Polytechnic.

  • Four wheelers will be parked in Irrigation Department Colony Rajendra Nagar.

  • There will be parking for tractor trolley on the pavements on both sides of the Springer Mode road.

The responsibility of making parking has been given to Junior Engineer Suraj Sharma, Junior Engineer Rajkumar and Junior Engineer Abhay Sonkar. Assistant Engineer Shailesh Kumar has been given the responsibility to supervise the construction work of temporary parking. In view of the problem of crowd and jam in Makar Sankranti fair. The administration will arrange barricading at 34 places to ensure smooth traffic.

Emergency arrangements will be there 24 hours in 21 hospitals

Keeping the Makar Sankranti fair in mind, the health department team has almost completed the preparations. Along with the camp, a health ATM will also be set up in the fair. Where 59 types of tests will be free. Ambulance doctors and health workers will be present there 24 hours. Where the victims will be treated. Instructions have been given to maintain 24-hour emergency services in 21 hospitals around the temple. Chief Medical Officer Ashutosh Kumar Dubey said that preparations have been intensified for the Makar Sankranti fair. The devotees coming to the fair will be given the same treatment as usual if they fall ill. If he becomes serious, he will be sent to the hospital by ambulance. He said that instructions have been given to restore 24-hour emergency services in 21 hospitals around Gorakhnath temple.
