Mahua Moitra: After receiving the notice to vacate the government bungalow, Mahua Moitra knocked the door of the High Court again.

Centre’s Directorate of Estates (DOE) expels Trinamool MP Mahua Moitra A notice has been sent on January 16 to vacate the government residence, after which Trinamool Congress leader Mahua Moitra has approached the Delhi High Court. The court accepted his petition. It is reported that the hearing of Mahua case is likely to be held in the second half of Thursday or Friday. On January 8, DOE sent a notice to Mahua asking him to vacate the bungalow within three days as he had not yet vacated the bungalow.

Mahua did not vacate the government bungalow even after show cause notice

Even after sending show cause notice, Mahua Moitra did not vacate the government bungalow. Last Tuesday, the Centre’s DOE had sent him a notice asking him to vacate the bungalow. Mahua Moitra was informed about this by DOE on Tuesday. It has been said in the notice that if necessary, they can use force to vacate the bungalow. The wording of the notice sent to the former MP naturally raises the question whether DOE can use pressure to vacate the bungalow from Mahua?

Knocked the door of the High Court again

On December 8, Mahua Moitra’s MP post was dismissed. He was instructed to vacate the government bungalow in Delhi by January 7. But Mahua Moitra did not do this. On January 8, DOE sent a notice to Mahua asking him to vacate the bungalow within three days as he had not yet vacated the bungalow. After this the former Trinamool MP had approached the court. According to Delhi High Court, Mahua will have to appeal to DOE. Meanwhile, Mahua again received DOE notice on Tuesday. Mahua Moitra has again moved the court challenging him.
