Mahindra Cruiser Bike: Apart from cars and off-road SUVs in the passenger vehicle segment, the country’s leading automobile manufacturer Mahindra & Mahindra is also going to enter the two-wheeler segment. It is reported that it is preparing to launch a new cruiser bike in the market to compete with Royal Enfield’s cruiser bike Interceptor 650. If media reports are to be believed, the name of Mahindra’s cruiser bike will be BSA Gold Star 650. However, the company has not yet revealed the name of its new bike. Let us tell you that to compete with Royal Enfield, Mahindra has acquired Classic Legends Private Limited seven years ago, which will re-launch Jawa and BSS motorcycles in India. Java Perak is the product of this venture. Now BSA Gold Star 650 is ready to be launched. The company has also started its testing.
Mahindra BSA Gold Star 650 Engine
According to media reports, testing of Mahindra’s BSA Gold Star 650 has started. Before this, the company has introduced this bike in the global market. It has been introduced in one variant and two color options. This cruiser bike has a 652cc BS6 standard based engine, which is capable of generating 45.6 PS of power and 55 Nm of peak torque. This motor is mated to a 5-speed gearbox with slip-and-assist clutch. It has disc front brake and disc rear brake. The weight of BSA Gold Star is 213 kg and it comes with a fuel tank capacity of 12 liters.
Mahindra BSA Gold Star 650 Suspension
Mahindra BSA Gold Star 650 is equipped with a double-cradle frame, which rests on 41 mm telescopic forks and 5-step preload-adjustable dual rear shocks. The bike has 18-inch wheels and 17-inch units at the front and Pirelli Phantom Sportcomp tires at the rear. For braking, there is a 320 mm disc at the front and a 255 mm disc at the rear, which is paired with Brembo calipers.

Mahindra BSA Gold Star 650 features Brembo brakes with dual-channel ABS. The Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 comes with dual brakes with single-channel ABS. Apart from this, it has been provided with liquid-cooled engine, turn-by-turn navigation, Bluetooth connectivity and other features.
Mahindra BSA Gold Star 650 Price and Competition
After its launch in India, the ex-showroom price of Mahindra BSA Gold Star 650 can start from Rs 5 lakh. It will compete with Kawasaki Z650RS and Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 in the market.
