Maharashtra: The accused were working on the instructions of ISIS, NIA charge sheet revealed

National Investigation Agency i.e. NIA has filed a charge sheet against seven accused in the ISIS module case. Many types of revelations have been made in the charge sheet. English website Times of India has published news regarding this chargesheet. It has been said that the captured terrorists were technically very sound. Especially 44 year old Zulfikar Ali, who was caught from Bhiwandi, who worked in an IT multinational company and was earning an annual package of Rs 31 lakh. It has also been said in the charge sheet that one of the accused is from Pune whose name is Shahnawaz Shaifuzzama (30). He is a mining engineer and has good knowledge about explosives. Apart from this, Kadir Pathan (35) was working as a graphics designer in Pune and was living in Pune by hiding his real identity. He taught graphic design to Imran Khan (22) and Younus Saki (27). The chargesheet states that as per what has emerged from the investigation, the arrested accused are Kadeer Pathan, Imran Khan, Saki Qazi (28), Zulfikar Ali (44), Shamil Nachan (32), Akif Nachan (44), Yunus Saki. And the four accused who are wanted were working on the instructions of ISIS handler Mohammad. All of them wanted to carry out terrorist activities and their target was non-Muslims. The captured terrorists wanted to take revenge for the alleged atrocities on Muslims.

How to carry out the incident

NIA has given complete details in the charge sheet filed against the accused. These terrorists were preparing to target people in a phased manner, such as purchasing items to prepare IEDs, testing the IEDs before using them. Collecting information about where to attack. Hiding prepared IEDs in remote areas. Along with this, they were busy searching for a place to hide after carrying out the terrorist attack. The charge sheet further said that the arrested accused were selecting some people who were radical Muslim youth to carry out the terrorist activities of ISIS. After doing this, they would have carried out a major attack in the country.

Code word was being used for chemical

The documents in the possession of the investigating agency have revealed that the accused were using code words for chemicals used in the manufacturing of explosives…such as vinegar for sulfuric acid, vinegar for acetone. For rose water, and hydrogen peroxide for sherbet (sweet drink)… A witness told the NIA that he had gone to Pune with Akif in April or May 2022. He said that Akif had brought two glasses, which he said was sherbet. The witness said that after some time Akif said that there was a special chemical in the bottles. This chemical is to be handed over to the guests in Kondhwa, Pune. Akif had asked the witness to switch off the mobile. NIA said that the forensic investigation report of FSL Pune has confirmed that the handwriting matches that of Kadir Pathan and Shamil Nachan which have come into the hands of the investigating agency.

The agency said in its charge sheet that evidence of funding to the accused by foreign handlers has been found. NIA further said that by using special technology the accused used to talk to their handlers based abroad. NIA said this is also evident from a txt file named ‘Bhola Mola’ recovered from the digital devices. NIA said that a description of the jungle trip has been found in the file. The charge sheet includes statements of 78 witnesses.

On July 19, Pune Police had registered a case against Khan, Saki and Shahnawaz after they were allegedly found stealing a two-wheeler from Kothrud. It has been said in the charge sheet that during the search of the residence of the suspects, many things were found. Like suspicious literature, fake documents with live cartridges etc…after this the case was transferred to Maharashtra ATS.
