Former BJP leader Masoom Raza Rahi, who was absconding on charges of rape and murder in Maharajganj, was arrested from the Nepal border. Additional Superintendent of Police Atish Kumar Singh said that Rahi had fled to Nepal and was arrested from Sonauli in Uttar Pradesh while trying to return to India. He is under interrogation.
Innocent Raza Rahi was absconding for 10 days. The court had issued a non-bailable warrant for the arrest of the accused. There was a possibility of it being hidden in Nepal. But even after this, 15 police teams had raided every place including Lucknow, Prayagraj, Kushinagar, where there was a possibility of his hiding, to arrest him.
On the other hand, the girl who accused Raza of molestation, assault and forcing her father to commit suicide has got a job on contract in the control room in Maharajganj Municipality. According to the information, the victim reached the municipality office on Saturday and understood the work. On the other hand, the government has also started tightening its grip on Raza. A notice was pasted on his house on Saturday.
Due to fear of action the tenants have vacated the room. Bulldozers may operate on the house on Sunday. Also, the police has started collecting information about his other properties. People who know the accused are also being interrogated. Police found his location in Nepal and he has been arrested.
House built by occupying land
According to police sources, the house which the accused has given on rent is in the name of Hasnain Abbasi. He used to work in the electricity department. Hasnain Abbasi died after the deed of land. His family members did not get information about the land. Taking advantage of this, Rahi Masoom Raza took possession of the land.
Government lawyer was made through Jugaad
Former BJP leader Rahi Masoom Raza had become a government lawyer through jugaad, but he was exposed. The administration stopped his remuneration. Sources say that the administration had asked him for a certificate, which he could not give. After this he took the help of the leaders of the ruling party for money. The leaders lobbied, but the officials refused to act against the rules.

At the same time, Civil Court Bar Association General Secretary Dharmendra Tripathi said that the name of Rahi Masoom Raza is not in the list of Civil Court Bar Association Maharajganj. He is not a member of the Civil Court Bar Association. He does not have a certificate of practice.
Meanwhile, Additional District Magistrate Dr. Pankaj Kumar Verma said that the victim has been given a job in Maharajganj Municipality through out sourcing. He has been deployed in the control room. Every possible help is being provided by the administration.
