Mahakumbh of temples in Varanasi from July 22, Mahavir temples of Patna were invited to participate

The Mahavir Temple of Patna has a special place among the temples of the country. This is known from the fact that Mahavir Mandir Nyas has also been included to participate in the Mahakumbh of temples going to be held in Varanasi, the spiritual and cultural city of the country. A three-day International Temples Convention and Expo will be organized at the Rudraksh Convention Center in Varanasi. It will be inaugurated by Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Sanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat on 22 July. Representatives of 350 temples of India and 35 temples of other countries of the world have been invited in this program.

Along with the invitation for the programme, a list of 14 special temples has also been issued. Patna’s Mahavir Mandir Nyas has also been included in this. Acharya Kishore Kunal, secretary of the Mahavir Mandir Trust, will participate in the first conference of its kind on subjects like better management of temples, financial discipline.

Acharya Kishore Kunal told that Patna’s Mahavir Mandir with income starting from 11 thousand per year to 10 lakh rupees per day is the best example of financial discipline. He told that he will share his experiences of financial discipline and financial management of Mahavir Mandir Nyas in the Samagam. How five big hospitals including Mahavir Cancer Institute are being run with the income of one temple. All three meals and snacks are given free of cost to the admitted patients. Poor patients are given special relaxation in treatment.

Two pair idols of Hanuman ji are together in the Mahavir temple.

Thousands of devotees come to worship Hanumanji and visit the temple at Mahavir Mandir in Patna, one of the leading Hanuman temples in the country. It is said that every wish asked by the devotees is fulfilled in this temple. It was declared a public temple by the Patna High Court in 1948. After which the new grand temple was constructed between 1983 and 1985 with the contribution of Acharya Kishore Kunal and devotees, and at present it is one of the world famous temples of the country. There are two pair idols of Hanuman ji together in the Mahavir temple, first Paritranaya Sadhunam which means for the protection of good persons and second Vinashaya Cha Duskritam which means to remove the evil of evil persons.

The present building of Mahavir Mandir was renovated in the year 1985. All the necessary facilities are provided to the devotees in the temple premises spread over an area of ​​10 thousand square feet. There are four sanctums of the deities on the first floor of the temple. One of these is the temple of Lord Ram from where it starts. Lord Krishna has been depicted near the Ram temple in which he is giving a sermon to Arjuna. Next to this is the temple of Goddess Durga. Also, there are idols of Goddess Parvati meditating on Lord Shiva and Nandi – the holy bull, which are placed in the wooden railing. The Jyotirlinga of Lord Shiva has been installed in the wooden railing. There is also a temporary Ram Setu on this floor which is kept in a glass vessel. Apart from this, there are idols of many other gods and goddesses in the temple. Whereas the second floor of the temple is used for ritual purpose. Pictures of various scenes from Ramayana have also been displayed on this floor.
