According to the information, on October 28, 2022, the Ghazipur police had sealed the Lucknow-based Kothi of Farhat, the sister-in-law of Mafia Mukhtar Ansari. Farhat is the wife of Mukhtar’s brother Afzal Ansari. The police of Ghazipur district came to know about this property during the investigation of Mukhtar Ansari’s benami properties. After which this Kothi was sealed on the orders of Ghazipur District Magistrate. Now its lock has been found broken.
Municipal corporation gave written information to the police
Ghazipur police had come to Lucknow to take action on the orders of Ghazipur District Magistrate. A board has also been put up near the Kothi by the Ghazipur police, in which the seal of the property is mentioned. After sealing the Kothi, the Ghazipur police handed it over to the Municipal Corporation. While sealing, along with wrapping white cloth on the lock, sealing material (lock) was also applied. The channel of Kothi which was sealed and locked there, has been found broken. After knowing about this incident, the Municipal Corporation Officer gave written information to the Hazratganj Police. After this, the Municipal Corporation team locked the place again.
Farhat had expressed apprehension earlier
Mukhtar Ansari’s sister-in-law Farhat had written a letter to DM Ghazipur and told that the anarchists have stolen household items and other things by breaking the lock of her sealed kothi. The residents of Dalibagh locality have informed him about this. After this, the District Magistrate of Ghazipur wrote a letter to the Police Commissioner of Lucknow. At the time when this kothi was sealed, a pet dog of Mukhtar Ansari was left inside. While the house also had household items. The municipal team did not see the rooms during the re-sealing. Because the list of goods was not made there during the sealing of the Kothi.
