Madhepura: Rs 2.30 lakh snatched from mother and son returning after withdrawing money from bank, police engaged in investigation

Udaakishunganj. A big question is being raised on the safety of people returning home after withdrawing money from the bank. Fearless criminals are openly snatching them. People leaving the bank with big cash are becoming victims of criminals. The police are assuring that they will investigate the matter and arrest the criminals. The latest case is of Thursday. The criminals snatched around Rs 2 lakh 30 thousand from the mother and son who were coming to withdraw money from the bank and ran away. In this case, Police Station Head Rajkishore Mandal said that as soon as the information about the incident was received, the police of the police station started investigating. Also, raids have been started to arrest the criminals.

Snatching took place near Bank Chowk

It is said that these days criminals have become more active around Udakishunganj Bank. The criminals are keeping an eye on the people from the bank itself and carry out the incident as soon as they see the opportunity. On Thursday, in broad daylight, two lakh 30 thousand rupees were snatched from a mother and son who were returning home after withdrawing money from the bank and ran away. The incident is said to have happened around 3 o’clock in the day. According to the police, the miscreants committed the snatching incident near the Bank Chowk of the headquarters. After committing the robbery they fled towards Bihariganj.

The criminals were two in number on bikes.

After the snatching incident, victim Mukesh Kumar Thakur and father Navkant Thakur told that he was returning with his mother after withdrawing money from the bank. Meanwhile, the criminals snatched the bag full of money from him and ran away. His mother Gulab Devi is in bad condition and crying. Here, regarding the incident, local people told that after withdrawing money from the branch of State Bank of India located at Udakishunganj, he was going home with his mother to Nohar village of Goalpara police station area. Meanwhile, near Bank Chowk, two criminals riding a bike snatched a bag full of money and both ran away towards Bihariganj.

There were many documents in the bag along with the money.

Mukesh Kumar Thakur told that the amount of family pension was. Had come to the bank with his mother. 2 lakh 30 thousand were withdrawn from the bank. After getting the money from the bank, both mother and son were returning home by bike after keeping it in a bag. During this time, criminals riding a bike came near Bank Chowk and pushed me and made my bike fall. As soon as we fell, they snatched the bag from our hands. Apart from the money, there were other items including PAN card, Aadhar card, pension documents in the said bag.
