This temple of Maa Chinnamastike is about 80 kilometers from Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand. Maa Chinnamastike Temple situated at the confluence of Bhairavi-Bheda and Damodar river of Rajarappa is a heritage of faith.
Rajarappa Temple is a miraculous place known for its mythological and religious significance. Here Chinnamastika Devi is worshiped in a special form, which is also known as Chinnamastika, Chinnamastika Devi or Chinnamastika Bhagwati.
This Siddhpeeth of Rajarappa is not famous for only one temple. Apart from Chinnamastike Temple, there are total 7 temples namely Mahakali Temple, Surya Temple, Das Mahavidya Temple, Babadham Temple, Bajrang Bali Temple, Shankar Temple and Virat Roop Temple.
It is believed that Mata Chintapurni and Mata Rajrappa are incarnations of two mothers and devotees worship Shiva and Parvati here. It is situated near the confluence of Damodar and Bharevi rivers. Here the confluence of Damodar and Bharevi river can be seen, which enhances the natural beauty.
The statue of Goddess Kali inside the temple has a sword in her right hand and her own severed head in the left hand. There are three eyes of the mother in the boulder. She is standing on a lotus flower with her left leg extended forward.
