According to media reports, Lectrix EV on Thursday announced the launch of the LXS Moonshine Special Edition electric scooter, which is based on the Lectrix LXS standard. However, the manufacturer has not revealed the price of its new electric scooter. The electric vehicle startup has claimed that the electric scooter with limited variants has been introduced to commemorate India’s historic moon landing on August 23, 2023. The special edition scooter comes with the same design as the standard LXS, but gets some special design work done all over the body, which makes it special.

The Lectrix Moonshine features a golden logo with two arrows pointing towards the sky. About this, the manufacturer says that it represents the emerging space age of India. The space age symbol is actually an edition of Lectrix’s own brand logo. Apart from minor changes in appearance, the special edition electric scooter remains identical to the standard edition of the LXS.

Powered by a 48-volt advanced lithium-ion battery pack and 1200-watt electric motor, the electric scooter is capable of hitting a top speed of 50 kmph. The Lectrix Moonshine is capable of accelerating from 0-25 kmph in five seconds, just like the standard LXS. It takes three to four hours for the battery to be fully charged.

The front and back wheels of the Lectrix Moonshine are fitted with 10-inch tubeless tyres. The braking system uses drum brakes on both the front and rear wheels with Combi-Braking System (CBS).
