Lucknow News: A young man committed suicide by hanging himself in the government flat of a BJP MLA located in Hazratganj area of the capital. Police reached the spot late on Sunday night after receiving information, broke the door, removed the body from the noose and sent it for postmortem. The deceased has been identified as Shrestha Tiwari, who looked after the social media work of the MLA.
In fact, 24-year-old Shrestha Tiwari, who worked in the media cell in the government flat number 804 of Bakshi Ka Talab assembly seat BJP MLA Yogesh Shukla in Hazratganj, was alone late on Sunday night. According to the information, at the time of suicide he was talking to his girlfriend on video call. He informed the police. The police broke the door and brought down the body. Police have not found any suicide note from the room. The mobile phones of Shrestha and his girlfriend have been seized by the police.
Suicide after dispute with girlfriend
According to sources, Shrestha Tiwari’s girlfriend was present outside flat number 804 during the suicide. Shrestha Tiwari committed suicide by making a video call to his girlfriend. Shrestha Tiwari’s friend has also taken screenshots of suicide during video call. Both were in relationship for the last four years. Shrestha Tiwari committed suicide after an argument with his girlfriend. Along with Shrestha, the police have also seized the girl’s mobile phone.
Shrestha was a resident of Barabanki district
According to Hazratganj Inspector Pramod Kumar Pandey, Shrestha Tiwari, a resident of Haidergarh, Barabanki, used to work in the media cell of Bakshi Ka Talab (BKT) MLA Yogesh Shukla. Information was received on Sunday night that Shrestha had committed suicide by hanging himself. When the police team reached flat number 804 at around 11 pm, the door was broken. Shrestha’s body was hanging inside. That night he was alone inside the flat.
Called an acquaintance and said – I am going to commit suicide
According to Inspector Pramod Kumar Pandey, someone called the control room and informed that his acquaintance Shrestha was going to commit suicide. He told this on the phone. He told Shrestha’s address as MLA residence flat number 804. After this the police team reached the flat. The door of the room was locked from inside. When the police broke the door and went there, Shrestha was found hanging. Police have seized Shrestha’s mobile phone.
