The ‘Know Your Army Festival’ organized at the cantonment in Lucknow, the capital of UP, ended with a grand closing ceremony. This three-day festival started on January 5, in which people from every section were present. Apart from many other attractions, people came here to see the mesmerizing display of military weapons and equipment. The festival was especially popular among school and college students, who came in thousands to witness the might of the Indian Army and also had the opportunity to learn more about the various career opportunities in the armed forces. During this, GOC-in-C of Surya Command Lieutenant General NS Raja Subramani, Chief of Staff of Surya Command Lieutenant General Mukesh Chadha and many senior military and civilian dignitaries graced the closing ceremony. The occasion included spectacular performances like Khukri dance, Kalaripayattu, military band, military dog show along with other attractions like hot air ballooning and rock climbing etc. On this occasion, Army Commander Lieutenant General Raja Subramani thanked the citizens for the tremendous participation in the Know Your Army Festival. He said the Indian Army is going through a transformational phase with a focus on self-reliance and the equipment and weapons displayed at the Know Your Army Festival reflect this change.
