Lucknow: Paving the way for bulldozer action on Levana Hotel, Government rejected the petition, Secretary Housing issued the order

Lucknow : The way has been cleared for the demolition of Levana Hotel in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. The government has found the order of LDA correct. Secretary Housing Ranveer Prasad has rejected the petition of Levana Hospitality LLP after the hearing. Last year four people had died in a fire at Levana Hotel.

This hotel was completely illegal. The fire department had to struggle a lot to extinguish the fire. After the incident, the Lucknow Development Authority got the investigation done and it was found that a lot of scams were done in the construction. First the office was built here, then the residential map was passed. After this the hotel was erected.

Levana Hospitality LLP had filed a petition in the government

Levana Hospitality LLP had filed a petition in the government against the demolition order of LDA. In this, a request was made by the LDA to stop the restoration of the canceled map and the demolition order. But in this case, the map was approved on July 20, 1996 with the condition that the form of the building in question would be changed from office to residential within six months. But this was not done at all.

This is a gross violation of the terms. In such a situation, Housing Development Secretary Ranveer Prasad found the order to demolish the LDA on November 9, 2022 correct. He has not given relief to the hotel management and has rejected the petition of Levana Hospitality.

Significantly, on 5 September 2022, a fire broke out in the Levana Hotel located in the Hazratganj area of Lucknow. During this four people had died. At the same time, 10 people were also injured. After which the Chief Minister of the state Yogi Adityanath, taking cognizance of the matter, gave instructions to take strict action against the culprits.
