Lucknow: It was a wonderful journey from IIM to IIIT, President Murmu will attend the convocation today.

The capital of Uttar Pradesh is gradually emerging as an important place for higher education. This change is visible with the coming of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM-L) in Lucknow in 1984. Then in 2006, Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia came to National Law University. The youngest institute to join this league is the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Lucknow (IIITL), which made its mark with 50 students in the session 2015-16 and has become an important center of learning in the field of information and technology. It will be a proud moment for the students graduating from IIIT Lucknow to receive the degree and medal from President Draupadi Murmu, which is going to be held on Tuesday i.e. today. This is the second convocation of the institute, in which President Murmu will attend as the chief guest. Meanwhile, IIIT Lucknow Director AM Sherry said that this institute is one of the 20 IIITs established by the Central Government in Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode. IIIT Lucknow now provides all the facilities to its students, which can help them move ahead and serve the country.

There is a better environment for higher education in the city- Former Professor Bharat

Bharat Bhaskar, director of IIM Ahmedabad and former professor of IIIT Lucknow, said that the arrival of these educational institutions in Lucknow is an indication that there is a better environment for higher education in the city. This is a big benefit for the state’s economy. When students come from all corners of India to study here, it gives a cosmopolitan look to the campus. To advance higher education, coordination between these campuses is necessary. Meanwhile, Professor Balraj Chauhan, former Vice Chancellor of Ram Manohar Lohia National Law University (RMlNLU), said that it is very important to have good institutions because if a country has to progress at a fast pace then it needs trained and skilled hands. I am happy that Lucknow is getting good institutions and hope that more good institutions will open in the coming days.
