Lucknow News: People still remember the scene of ‘second inning home’ in the film ‘Lage Raho Munna Bhai’ a few years back. ‘Second Inning Home’ was such a home for the elderly, where the abandoned and lonely elders lived together. All of them used to share their happiness and sorrow with each other. On similar lines, Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) is preparing to make second inning homes for the elderly.
Flats will be given to the elderly on lease
Lucknow Development Authority will launch its special housing scheme for the elderly living alone away from the family. So far the authority has not launched such a scheme, this will be its new initiative. Under this, second inning homes will be built in Viraj Khand of Gomtinagar. For this, a seven-storey building will be built on the land marked in the drone survey. The flats built here will be given on lease to the elderly. Along with this, all the necessary facilities will also be provided to them.
Work will proceed after making DPR
Dr. Indramani Tripathi, Vice President of Lucknow Development Authority, has given instructions to the officials to prepare DPR in this regard in the land audit meeting. After the preparation of the DPR, work will be done on the further process. This project of LDA is considered very important for providing security and facilities to the elderly.
Flats will be designed according to the needs of the elderly
LDA VC Dr. Indramani Tripathi told that 2500 square meters of land has been marked in the drone survey in Viraj section. Here a proposal is being prepared to make second inning homes for the elderly. Here eight studio flats of 400-400 square feet will be built on each floor of the seven-storey building.
The special thing is that all the flats will be designed according to the needs of the elderly. Along with this, there will also be club house, yoga and meditation center, community kitchen, lawn and swimming pool. Along with this, in view of the problem of the elderly, there will also be an ambulance facility in view of the emergency situation. This ambulance will remain in the premises round the clock.
Ban on free hold and sale of flat
These flats will be given on lease for a fixed period to the elderly above 60 years of age. The special thing is that these flats cannot be sold or made free hold. The LDA VC said that after developing second inning homes, parks, roads etc. in about 30000 square meters of land marked near the water body in Viraj section, the remaining 20000 square meters of land will be given to private builders through auction for group housing.
It is not necessary to install solar panels with water harvesting
Along with this, the Lucknow Development Authority has taken another important decision. Under this, it will be mandatory to plant solar panels and plants along with rain water harvesting from next month for construction of buildings on 300 square meters or more land.
For this, security money will be deposited at the time of passing the map. Then after the construction, the team of Lucknow Development Authority will inspect and the security money will be returned only after getting everything right. Along with this, the LDA has sent a proposal to the government to make these facilities mandatory even in 200 square meters. As soon as it is approved from there, an order regarding this will also be issued.
Flat booking on 10 year installments
Along with this, applications for sale of flats on 10-year installment in Lucknow Development Authority schemes will start this week. LDA Additional Secretary Gyanendra Verma said that the possession will be given immediately after paying 25 percent to the employees working in government and semi-government organizations and 35 percent to others. After this, people will be able to pay in installments for 10 years for the flat and 7 years for the shop. This system will be implemented on the authority’s website from this week itself.
