Lucknow Historical Monuments: Lucknow After a few days tourists will also be able to spend the day in the four historical buildings of the city which were once the residence of the Nawabs of Lucknow and their wives. For this, Chhatar Manzil, Roshan-Uddaula Kothi, Kothi Gulistane-Iram and Kothi Darshan Vilas will be converted into heritage hotels on PPP model. After the approval of the cabinet to the proposal of the tourism department, now this exercise will be intensified. Hotels are running in many historical buildings in states like Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. Now after the approval of the cabinet, the historical buildings of Lucknow will also be converted into heritage hotels. Mukesh Meshram, Principal Secretary, Tourism Department said that 40 companies have approached so far to operate the heritage hotel. In these, many foreign groups including Taj, Oberoi, Mahindra Group are also included.
