In the capital Lucknow, a textile businessman stabbed his wife to death after she opened the door late. After committing the crime, the accused husband locked the flat from inside and escaped by jumping from the window. During this time his head got injured. At present he is admitted in the Trauma Center of KGMU. When the police arrived on the information of the people of the colony, the businessman’s son opened the door. After this the police investigated. Then the body was taken into custody and sent for postmortem.

Actually, the family of textile businessman Aditya Kapoor lives on the first floor of Alaya Apartment located in Paper Mill Colony of Mahanagar police station area. Aditya has a clothes showroom named Japan Store in Aminabad, a posh area of Lucknow. Aditya Kapoor reached his house around 12.30 in the night and rang the bell to open the door. The door did not open for a long time. This enraged Aditya. When his wife opened the door, he had an argument with her. Within a short time a heated argument started between the two. After this, Aditya attacked his wife with a knife kept in the kitchen in front of the children. During this time, the son and daughter kept pleading and struggling to free their mother, but Aditya kept stabbing them. Wife Shivani remained lying near the dining table soaked in blood. The wife died due to excessive bleeding.
Accused husband undergoing treatment in trauma center
After this he became nervous. Then he jumped from the first floor window to commit suicide. Hearing the sound of the businessman jumping, the people of the colony came. When the people of the colony saw, the businessman was running away. After this people informed the police. Then the police arrived at around 3 o’clock in the night. After this, when the police knocked on the door of the businessman’s house, his elder son opened the door. When the police went inside, they saw that the blood of the businessman’s wife was scattered. The woman’s dead body was lying on the table. When the police asked the son, he told that father killed mother and jumped from the window. At present, after investigation, the police sent the body for postmortem. Here, the businessman somehow reached the trauma center. During this time he called a relative and told him about the incident. After this the relative informed the police.
The businessman got married 14 years ago
Shivani and Aditya were married 14 years ago i.e. in 2009. Both have a son Shubham (13) and daughter Pahal (12). The woman’s father Dilip lives in Rajajipuram. Accused’s mother Kavita Kapoor and father Hari Narayan Kapoor live in Aminabad. Only 6 months ago, his in-laws had shifted Aditya to Alaya Apartment. Japan store owner and Aditya’s maternal uncle Pappu told that he had tried to commit suicide earlier also. He had left the shop at around 9.30 pm on Saturday night. When he knocked on the door under the influence of alcohol, it was not opened. Due to this, a fight broke out in front of the children and suddenly Aditya attacked Shivani with a knife. After this he jumped from the window. During this, Aditya suffered a serious head injury and was admitted to the trauma center. DCP Central, Lucknow Aparna Rajat Kaushik says that the murder accused is in police custody. He is injured and is undergoing treatment. Further action will be taken after investigation.
