LSG vs RCB: KL Rahul injured during the match, went out of the field, big blow to Lucknow

Team India’s senior wicketkeeper batsman and Lucknow Super Giants captain of KL Rahul Has suffered an injury to his right thigh during an IPL match against Royal Challengers Bangalore. Rahul was taken off the field with the help of the team physio and a fellow player. He could not even walk and for some time he lay down on the ground in pain. This incident happened in the second over against RCB.

Rahul got hurt in the second over of the innings.

KL Rahul was hurt on the last ball of the second over when Faf du Plessis played the ball of Marcus Stoinis towards extra cover. Rahul was running after him to stop the ball and then he fell on the ground due to muscle strain. The seriousness of the injury is yet to be known and it has to be seen whether Rahul comes to bat in the second innings or not.

RCB won the toss and decided to bat

RCB captain Faf Duplesey won the toss and decided to bat first at Ekana Stadium on Monday. Virat Kohli and Duplessi came on the field as openers. Both started the innings very slowly. RCB scored 42 runs without any loss in the power play. Krunal Pandya started the bowling from Lucknow. He gave five runs in the first over.

Krunal Pandya is the captain of Lucknow after Rahul goes out of the field. Lucknow’s team is at number two in the table with 10 points after winning five out of eight matches so far. While this season has not been anything special for RCB so far. RCB is at number six in the table with eight points with four wins in 8 matches. RCB will have to win today’s match at any cost to come up in the table.
