This year saw a lot of upheaval in the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP). First party president Sharad Pawar resigned from the post of president. After this, his nephew and NCP leader Ajit Pawar joined the government along with his fellow NCP leaders. Ajit Pawar became Deputy CM in Eknath Shinde government. Amidst all this, Supriya Sule’s name also came up prominently.
