Chaibasa/Tantnagar: After the incident that took place on Sunday in Mohanpur of Gamharia, Seraikela, the political temperature in Singhbhum has risen. The war of words between the ruling and the opposition is at its peak. The allegations and counter-allegations have also intensified. In this sequence, MP from Singhbhum seat and BJP candidate Geeta Koda said on Monday that the misbehavior with her was sponsored by JMM. The incident is quite condemnable and a matter of concern, which we strongly oppose. There is no place for violence in democracy. He said these things during the election campaign in the villages of Manjhari and Kumardungi block. He said that the people who were opposing me were not the people of that village. Mohanpur is the area of the Chief Minister. JMM had already prepared its army to protest. Such dictatorial attitude of JMM will not be tolerated. It is noteworthy that during the election campaign in Mohanpur of Gamharia block on Sunday, JMM supporters clashed with MP Geeta Koda and she was held hostage for three hours. Many people were injured in the clash. Of these, a complaint was lodged against 40-50 people, including the five named, at Gamhariya police station.

Villagers protested against MP late night, case registered against BJP workers
Gamharia: Villagers got angry after a case was registered against JMM supporters after MP Geeta Koda was taken hostage in Mohanpur, Gamharia on Sunday. Regarding this, hundreds of villagers of Burudih and Rapcha Panchayat reached Sarna Umul located in Gamhariya late on Sunday night. Expressing anger over the incident, they demonstrated against the MP. After this, everyone reached Gamhariya police station on a tractor and registered an FIR against the BJP workers involved in the incident for calling the villagers caste related words and assaulting them.

What is in the villagers’ FIR?
In the FIR lodged by the villagers at Gamharia police station, it has been said that on Sunday, April 14, BJP candidate cum MP Geeta Koda had come to campaign in the area. Meanwhile, at Murgaghuthu Tilka Chowk, the BJP members got enraged when the villagers questioned the MP for not coming even once in five years. During this, Block President Amit Singhdev, Pushti Gop, Chinmay Mahato, Sunita Mishra started abusing using caste related words. What is in BJP’s FIR
According to the FIR lodged by BJP Mahila Morcha District President Rashmi Sahu in the police station, the dispute had started in Shridharpur under Kandra police station itself. At that time, the MP’s convoy, after explaining to the villagers, changed its route and reached Burudih via Salmpathar, Murgaghutu. While returning from there, reached Mohanpur village. Meanwhile, suddenly 40-50 men and women from Murghaghutu village and Burudih Panchayat reached Mohanpur and warned not to campaign. JMM supporters named Hopna Mardi and Shankar Tudu attacked him on the chest with wrong intentions, due to which his kurti got torn. Tried to take him away from the crowd. Laxman Tudu and Mohan Nayak, who were part of the crowd, also attacked Sunita Mishra with wrong intentions and tried to lift her in their lap and push her to the other side. In this sequence, when workers like Amit Singhdev, Ganesh Mahli, Adarsh Kumar, Ganesh Koda etc. came to intervene, Vasudev Besra, Vaniram Besra, Dhomsa Soren and five-six other JMM supporters attacked them with sharp weapons.

SP reached Gamhariya police station, took information about the case
SP Manish Toppo reached Gamharia police station on Monday evening. He took information about the incident from the police station in-charge. Also, further process started. SDPO Santosh Mishra was also with him.

People demanded removal of Gamhariya police station in-charge
There is anger among the people towards the police regarding the incident. On Sunday, former Chief Minister Madhu Koda had also termed the incident as negligence of the local administration. Angered by the occurrence of such incidents in the presence of the police, people have demanded the removal of the Gamharia police station in-charge. People said that if the police station in-charge had wanted, the matter would have been calmed down, but he remained a silent spectator among the crowd. At the same time, due to lack of knowledge of the local language (Santali), there was difficulty in understanding what the villagers were saying. Because of this the matter escalated.

Mohanpur’s name was not in MP’s route chart
Mohanpur’s name was not in the minute-to-minute route chart prepared for BJP candidate Geeta Koda’s visit to Gamharia block area. Even after this, the convoy involved in the campaign going to Mohanpur is in discussion. According to the route chart, the campaign convoy was to start from Gopinathpur at 9.30 am and go to Burudih via areas like Dumra, Kandra etc. At the same time, at 2.30 pm, he was to go from Burujih to Rapcha via Salmpathar, Pindrabeda, but his convoy left the said route and went to Mohanpur via Murgaghuthu. If the people in the MP’s convoy had campaigned as per the route chart, perhaps this incident would not have happened.

The people involved in the incident were villagers, no connection with JMM or CM.
Regarding the matter, JMM has termed as wrong the allegation made by former Chief Minister Madhu Koda that the incident was organized at the behest of Chief Minister Champai Soren. Regarding the matter, JMM District President of Sarna Umul in Gamharia, Dr. Shubhendu Mahat said that the people involved in the protest were ordinary villagers, who have nothing to do with JMM. At the same time, there is no involvement of Chief Minister Champai Soren or JMM in the matter. The incident was carried out by BJP to defame JMM. JMM central member Ramdas Tudu, who was present on the occasion, said that when MP Geeta Koda was in the Grand Alliance, she was invited many times as the chief guest in the programs, but she did not come. Due to all these reasons there is resentment among the people of the area towards him. Central members Ramdas Tudu, Birendra Pradhan, Amrit Mahato, Jagdish Mahato, Deepak Mandal, Avinash Soren, Gurba Mardi, Bablu Pradhan, Uttam Das etc. were included in the press conference.

Whatever crop you plant, you will get the same result: Sagen Purti
Jamshedpur: JMM’s East Singhbhum District Vice President Sagen Purti has said that the protest by Geeta Koda and her supporters in Gamharia of Seraikela-Kharsawan district shows that the public has become aware. The hope and faith with which the public casts its precious vote leads to victory in the elections and is also held accountable for behaving contrary to it. Mr. Purti said these things in a press conference organized at Sakchi Liaison Office on Monday. He said that the people of Kolhan elected Geeta Koda as MP to protect water, forest and land and the existence of tribals. But he never raised his voice to save the tribals. It did not even take any initiative from its end to implement the CNT and SPT Act in letter and spirit. At the same time, Sarna always maintained silence on the issue of religious code. The public’s patience broke when it joined hands with the party that was destroying water, forests, land and the existence of tribals. Shri Purti said that whatever crop one plants, one will get the same result. Geeta Koda herself is completely responsible for the incident that happened in Gamhariya. So far he has faced opposition only at one place. In future, we will have to face opposition in the entire Kolhan. He has cheated the entire people of Kolhan. Their dreams have been shattered. He is not going to get public support by making unrestrained statements against JMM.

Democracy has been murdered in Mohanpur: Manoj Chaudhary
Seraikela: Attacking Singhbhum’s BJP candidate Geeta Koda in Mohanpur village of Gamharia is an act that tarnishes democracy. BJP leader Manoj Chaudhary has said these things in a press release. He said that the incident is extremely condemnable. On one hand, the whole country was celebrating the birth anniversary of Constitution maker Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, while on the other hand, democracy was tarnished in the district. Jharkhand is also now on the path of Bengal. JMM’s method of intimidation is very old. The incident happened due to the failure of the administration. If this is the condition in CM’s home area, what will happen to the state?
