Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Discussion of Sanjay Dutt and Swara Bhaskar from Bareilly, the name will be decided in INDIA’s meeting on August 31

Bareilly News: All political parties have gathered to win the Lok Sabha elections 2024. In this, opposition parties including Congress have formed INDIA ‘Indian National Democratic Inclusive Alliance’ i.e. Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance. There are about 26 parties in INDIA, while there are 38 parties in BJP’s National Democratic Alliance (NDA).

INDIA alliance is trying to win one Lok Sabha seat each. For this churning has started. The special focus is on the 80 Lok Sabha seats in UP. The Congress is brainstorming with SP chief Akhilesh Yadav regarding the Lok Sabha seats in UP. If sources are to be believed, a special strategy is being prepared for Bareilly, Varanasi, Lucknow, Kanpur, Allahabad, Gorakhpur and Agra. All these seats are with the BJP.

INDIA is considering Bareilly, Varanasi as the most difficult seat. Because, PM Narendra Modi is the MP from Varanasi, while BJP’s eight-time MP from Bareilly Lok Sabha seat is former Union Minister Santosh Kumar Gangwar. Congress, SP and BSP have fielded different candidates of all castes against him. But, has not been able to win. That’s why an attempt is being made to bet on a celebrity. There is a lot of talk about film stars Sanjay Dutt and Swara Bhaskar contesting elections from here.

Despite being punished, Sanjay Dutt can contest elections because of this

Sanjay Dutt was accused of possessing illegal weapons in the 1993 Mumbai bomb blasts. He was kept in Pune’s Yerwada Jail. Sanjay Dutt spent almost five years in jail. But, due to good behavior, he was released eight months earlier. A convicted person cannot contest elections for six years even after completing his sentence. But, this time of Sanjay Dutt has been completed in the year 2021.

A few years back, the Law and Justice Minister had introduced a bill in this regard in the Lok Sabha. In this, there is a provision in the Representation of the People Act that the convicted person is declared ineligible to contest elections for six years from the day of sentencing. After this amendment, there has been a provision in the law that even after completing the sentence, that person will be ineligible to contest elections for six years.

Sanjay Dutt’s father and sister have been Lok Sabha MPs

Sanjay Dutt’s father Sunil Dutt has been an MP from Mumbai’s Lok Sabha seat, while his daughter Priya Dutt is also a former MP. Sanjay Dutt was also seen with SP a few years back. He started politics with SP. Sanjay Dutt came to Bareilly with former Rajya Sabha member Amar Singh. At that time the party made him the general secretary. But, now preparations are on for him to contest the Bareilly Lok Sabha elections. His family has been in Congress only. In such a situation, it is certain to become a candidate from the Bareilly Lok Sabha seat with the help of the All India Alliance.

Swara Bhaskar’s name is also in discussion

Along with him, the name of Swara Bhaskar, who married Fahad Ahmed, a resident of Bareilly’s Bahedi, is also in discussion some time ago. He can also be made a candidate from Bareilly Lok Sabha. The decision on both these names will be taken in the meeting of INDIA alliance to be held in Mumbai on 31st August and 1st September. For this, it is expected to talk to both the film actors.

Controversy over the magic hug

Film actor Sanjay Dutt also wanted to contest the 2009 elections. But, the political situation could not be created at that time. He was coming into politics through Amar Singh. But, Amar Singh’s relations with SP had deteriorated. During that time he gave an objectionable statement against the then Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Mayawati in a rally. He had said during a rally that he would ‘give magic hugs and kisses’ to Mayawati. There was a lot of ruckus on this statement of Sanjay Dutt. After this statement of Sanjay Dutt, a case was also registered against him. But, later Sanjay Dutt apologized saying that Mayawati is like his sister.

SP-BSP’s account not opened

SP-BSP field candidates every time on Bareilly Lok Sabha seat. But, has not been able to win even once. Last time both the parties contested the elections with the alliance. Even after this, the SP-BSP alliance candidate was defeated by 1.67 lakh votes.

MP Santosh Gangwar made a double hat trick

Many times SP-BSP has fielded backward caste candidates along with Muslim candidates from here. But, could not take this seat from BJP. Congress was earlier holding this seat. However, in the year 1989 elections, BJP’s Santosh Gangwar won by defeating former President Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed’s wife Abda Begum. Since then he has been an MP for eight times.

He scored a double hat-trick by winning consecutive elections in 1989, 1991, 1996, 1998, 1999 and 2004. However, in 2009, Congress’s Praveen Singh lost the election to Airan by about 9,000 votes. But, after this, won once again in the years 2014 and 2019. He has also become a minister in the governments of 1996, 1998, 1999, 2004, 2014 and 2019. However, he was removed a few years ago. This time also it is believed that he will get the ticket. It is a much better seat in terms of their caste equations.

Even caste leaders could not survive

Former minister Bhagwat Sharan Gangwar, Master Chhote Lal Gangwar from his Kurmi community was also given ticket against former MP Santosh Gangwar. But, he too could not last. Former minister Bhagwat Sharan Gangwar was nominated twice by the party. But, in the year 2009 SP candidate Bhagwat Sharan Gangwar got 73549 votes, while in 2019 Lok Sabha elections Santosh Gangwar got 565270 votes, while SP-BSP alliance candidate Bhagwat Sharan got 397888 votes. The BJP candidate defeated the SP candidate by 167282 votes.

Congress was defeated in 2009, forfeited deposits in 2014 and 2019

Congress candidate from here former MP Praveen Singh Airan defeated BJP MP Santosh Kumar Gangwar in 2009 by about 9 thousand votes. But, Congress candidate got 74206 votes in 2019 Lok Sabha elections and 84213 votes in 2014 Lok Sabha elections. The security deposit of the Congress candidate was forfeited.
