Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Crackdown on drugs, illegal mini liquor factory exposed in Palamu, liquor and spirits worth Rs 2.5 lakh seized

Lok Sabha Election 2024: Medininagar (Palamu) – Action against illegal liquor is going on in Jharkhand regarding the Lok Sabha elections 2024. Continuous raids are being conducted by the excise department team and local police. In the same sequence, the Excise Department raided Palamu and exposed an illegal mini liquor factory. During this period, liquor and spirits worth about Rs 2.5 lakh have been seized. Excise Superintendent Sudhir Kumar said that illegal liquor is being traded on a large scale in the border areas of Jharkhand and Bihar.

Four accused arrested with liquor and spirit
The team of Excise Department has busted an illegal mini liquor factory by raiding Jhargada Baghmanwa Tola of Hussainabad, Palamu. During the raid, police recovered 59 boxes of liquor and 280 liters of spirit. Mukesh Kumar, Lalan Kumar, Rajkumar and Sanjeev Rajwar have been arrested in this case.

Used to sell English liquor at high prices by putting stickers on it
Action was taken under the leadership of Product Superintendent Sudhir Kumar. Sudhi Kumar told that the police had received secret information that the work of making illegal liquor was being done in Baghmanwa Tola. After preparing the liquor, stickers of fake Royal Blue, Royal Classic, foreign liquor and other branded English liquor were used to sell it outside at higher prices.

Liquor making machine and other items recovered
During the raid, the excise department has recovered 2832 bottles of 180 ml liquor. For preparing liquor, 280 liters of raw spirit in seven gallons and 36 thousand empty bottles have been seized. Along with this, liquor making machine, cap, wrapper and other materials have been recovered. Liquor was made in kutcha houses.
