Ranchi: The screening committee of Congress has finalized the names for the remaining four seats out of the seven seats found in the alliance. The names of Subodh Kant Sahay from Ranchi, Anupama Singh, wife of Bermo MLA Jaimangal alias Anoop Singh from Dhanbad, KN Tripathi from Chatra and Pradeep Yadav and Deepika Pandey Singh from Godda have been sent to the high command. On Sunday, a meeting was held with screening committee coordinator KP Rana, state in-charge Ghulam Ahmed Mir, state president Rajesh Thakur and legislature party leader Alamgir Alam. In this, the names of candidates for four seats were discussed. In this, one name each was sent from Ranchi, Dhanbad and Chatra. The names of Pradeep Yadav and Deepika Pandey Singh have been sent from Godda. In view of the legal process going on in the court in the sexual harassment case of a woman against MLA Mr. Yadav, the party has considered the option here. In this, the name of Deepika Pandey Singh has been put forward. However, the screening committee has left the entire matter to the central leadership.
Kharge was out of Delhi, announcement may be made today
After the high-level meeting held in Delhi, the report has been sent to the party’s national president Mallikarjun Kharge. Mr. Kharge was out of Delhi on Sunday. He returned to Delhi from Kanpur late in the evening. Candidates for these four seats can be announced on Monday.
Age is a hindrance in the path of Dadai-Furkan, no option in Ranchi
In Dhanbad, the name of former MP Dadai Dubey was going forward. The name of Furkan Ansari from minority quota in Godda was also in the panel. But the central leadership did not accept these names considering their age. Here, Subodhkant Sahay’s alternative was not found in Ranchi.
