They will have to apply to the Election Commission in the already prescribed form. 34 candidates are in the fray for the first phase of elections on Jalpaiguri, Cooch Behar and Alipurduar Lok Sabha seats.

A total of 3,139 people including 1,911 senior citizens, 962 disabled people and 266 emergency service personnel will get this opportunity in Alipurduar. A total of 4,114 people, including 2,486 senior citizens, 1,323 disabled people and 305 emergency service personnel, will vote at home in Jalpaiguri. Polling personnel will go to voters’ homes and collect votes. This voting will also take place in the presence of the Central Force. The voting process will be completed with security.
