Dhanbad : East Jamshedpur MLA Saryu Rai has said that if the people of Dhanbad want, he can contest Lok Sabha elections from here. He is still assessing the circumstances. Shri Rai was addressing the press conference of Dhanbad District Marwari Conference President Krishna Agarwal here on Friday. He said that for him the Jamshedpur East seat is still a priority seat. The people there are in debt, but to save the people of Dhanbad from extortion and mafia, he is ready to contest elections from here if necessary. Shri Rai said that the workers and leaders of Congress and BJP alliance of Dhanbad will have to think about this matter. They have to come forward. His team is talking to the people of Dhanbad. He also has old contacts with many people of Dhanbad BJP. If people want, he can contest Lok Sabha elections from Dhanbad, but he will not contest from any party. If any party wants, it can give support.
Election Commission should take cognizance of BJP candidate’s statement
Shri Rai made many serious allegations against BJP candidate from Dhanbad Lok Sabha seat and Baghmara MLA Dhulu Mahato. He said that he will write to agencies like ED, CBI, Income Tax and demand investigation against BJP’s Lok Sabha candidate. If investigation is not done, he will also go to court. He said that Mr. Mahato spoke in a strict tone on telephone with his supporter and District President of Marwari Sammelan, Krishna Aggarwal. The Election Commission should take action by taking this statement into consideration. Former minister Shri Rai said that he is not waiting for the announcement of the Congress candidate. If we have to contest elections from Dhanbad, we will contest. It does not matter who will be the candidate from Congress. During this, former BIADA President Vijay Jha was also present.
