Lok Sabha Election 2024 Jan Suraj Party has been registered by the Election Commission of India for the Lok Sabha elections in Bihar. Jan Suraj Party has been allotted apple election symbol. The Commission has allotted Save election symbol to Jan Suraj Party only for 40 Lok Sabha seats of Bihar. Now, if this party fields candidates on 40 seats in Bihar, it will get the election symbol ‘Sev’. The Election Commission of India has released the list of election symbols allotted to registered political parties in the Lok Sabha elections. However, no information has been given yet by the Jan Suraj Dal led by Prashant Kishore in Bihar regarding this.
When Renu ji contested elections
Generally, the world of litterateurs stays away from elections, but the country’s famous litterateur Phanishwarnath Renu became a candidate in the 1972 assembly elections. Her friend Legislative Councilor Rambachan Rai, who went to campaign in favor of Renu ji, who had contested as an independent candidate from the Forbesganj assembly seat, says that the slogan in her election was – say in every village – this time in this election – we will vote in boats. Renu ji’s election symbol was a boat print. His friend Saryu Mishra of Congress was the candidate in front of him.
Whereas, Lakhanlal Kapoor was made the candidate from the Socialist Party. Apart from the electoral world, all three were also best friends. All three were active together in the 1942 movement and were lodged in jail together. A group of youth roamed around the villages and campaigned in favor of Renu. When the election results came, Renu ji felt disappointed. They were defeated. He got only 6498 votes, while his winning friend Saryu Mishra of Congress got 29750 votes and Socialist candidate Lakhan Lal Kapoor got 16666 votes.
