Congress has so far announced 212 candidates for the Lok Sabha elections 2024. The 9th list was released by the party on 29 March. In which the names of five candidates were announced. In which the most prominent name is that of former Speaker of Rajasthan Assembly CP Joshi, who has been made the candidate from Bhilwara. Candidates have been changed in two Lok Sabha constituencies of Rajasthan. CP Joshi has been given the ticket in place of Damodar Gurjar in Bhilwara and Damodar Gurjar has been given the ticket in place of Sudarshan Rawat in Rajsamand. According to the list of candidates released by the party, tickets have been given to E Tukaram from Bellary, Karnataka, Sunil Bose from Chamarajanagar and Raksha Ramaiah from Chikballapur.

Elections for 18th Lok Sabha begin from April 19

Elections for the 18th Lok Sabha in the country will start from April 19. After this, voting will be held in six more phases on 26 April, 7 May, 13 May, 20 May, 25 May and 1 June. About 97 crore registered voters in 543 constituencies of Lok Sabha will be able to exercise their franchise at 10.5 lakh polling stations. Counting of votes will take place on June 4.

Awaiting the name of Congress candidate on three seats of Delhi

Congress has not yet announced the names of its candidates for the Delhi Lok Sabha seats. Earlier, it was told by the party that after the ‘Maharali’ of ‘India’ alliance led by Aam Aadmi Party, it will announce its candidates for three Lok Sabha seats of Delhi. AAP is contesting on four Lok Sabha seats in the national capital, while Congress will field its candidates on three seats. Aam Aadmi Party has announced its candidates for four seats – East Delhi, West Delhi, South Delhi and New Delhi. Congress has won three seats – North East Delhi, North West Delhi and Chandni Chowk.
