Lok Sabha Election 2024: BJP government at the Center Lok Sabha Elections Before the Lok Sabha elections, special security arrangements have been made for four BJP leaders of Bengal. These four BJP leaders are former Calcutta High Court judge and BJP candidate from Tamluk Abhijit Gangopadhyay, BJP candidate from Barrackpore Arjun Singh, BJP district general secretary Abhijit Barman and Cooch Behar BJP executive member Tapas Das.

4 leaders got central security in different categories

Former Calcutta High Court Justice Abhijit Ganguly has been given ‘Y’, Barrackpore candidate Arjun Singh has been given ‘Z’, Abhijit Burman and Tapas Das have been given ‘X’ category security. It is noteworthy that veteran leaders like Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh have got Z Plus category security and Prime Minister Narendra Modi gets the highest level SPG security. Normally the Z Plus category is guarded by 55 central force personnel and 10 NSG commandos. The RZ category includes 22 Central Army personnel and 4 to 6 CRPF or CISF commandos and policemen. Arjun will get this quality security. There will be a convoy of at least five vehicles with them in the security circle. One of which will be bullet proof. The Center will spend at least Rs 15 to 25 lakh per month on this security system.

Whereas Abhijeet has been given Y category security. He will be accompanied by a convoy of two commandos, eight soldiers and at least two vehicles. For this the Center will spend at least Rs 12 to 15 lakh per month. The remaining two BJP leaders from Bengal will be given ‘X’ category security. According to sources, both Burman and Das were threatened. This security ring is based on that. In this arrangement, two soldiers will stay with the leaders. There will be a convoy of one to two cars.
